Council men support ‘Grow Mo’ fundraiser

The men have not only contributed financially but also raised awareness amongst colleagues, family and friends about men’s health and cancer prevention.

Council’s Health and Well Being Officer, Debbie Blair commented, “We are pleased to support this important campaign, knowing the impact that these health checks can have for local men in our community. The staff had fun as well as making a tangible difference for Action Cancer.”

Kerry Anderson from Action Cancer said, “We are extremely grateful for the support of our Grow Mo fundraiser as it enables us to provide more MOT health checks. This is vital as men have a 16% greater chance of developing cancer than women and can be reluctant about visiting the GP.”
