Council open book of condolence for Norway

BALLYMONEY Borough Council has agreedto open book of condolence on the tradegy in Norway.

Speaking at the Council meeting last evening the Mayor, Councillor Ian Stevenson spoke about the recent tragedy in Norway.

He said: “I am sure that, like myself, you were shocked and saddened at the terrible tragedy in Norway when almost 100 people were killed. Our sympathy goes out to the community there. A number of communities are opening books of condolence and I intend to open a book of condolence to allow citizens of this borough to show their sympathy. The book will be available at the Council Offices from Wednesday morning.”

Arrangements are in hand for the book of condolence to be available for signing at the Council Offices from Wednesday morning 27th July.
