Council strikes gold for investing in people

Newtownabbey Borough Council has been awarded the prestigious Investors in People (IIP) re-accreditation once again, this time scoring top marks and earning the highest standard of excellence known as Gold Status.

This is a significant achievement for the council, putting it in the top one per cent of all 40,000 IIP organisations across the UK, while also making it the first council in Northern Ireland to be awarded the Investors in People Gold Award.

Welcoming the success, Mayor Fraser Agnew commented: “Achieving the IIP Gold standard has been part of a journey for the council which has seen us embed a culture of excellence in service delivery and in investment in our people.”
