Council worth over £174 million

The annual accounts for the four legacy councils - Coleraine, Ballymoney, Limavady and Moyle have been published

The figures reveal the assets carried over by each Council to the new Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.

In the summary statement dated March 31, 2015, figures reveal that Ballymoney Borough Council had assets worth over £27 million, Coleraine had assets worth £86 million, Limavady’s assets were worth £27 million whilst Moyle brought assets of £33 million to the new Council set up.

This gave an overall total of over £174 million in assets (property, plant and machinery) to the new Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.

Both Ballymoney and Moyle councils had capital in reserve £263.000 from Ballymoney and £519,000 from Moyle, this is money from disposals of assets that had not been used.
