“We welcome all investment that improves not only the quality of our roads and contributes to increased safety but also, that in the current challenging fiscal environment the Minister, Danny Kennedy, has secured investment for one of Lisburn’s most important arterial routes.

“Transport NI have made arrangements for traffic flow and diversions will be in place with traffic reduced to one lane for works and safety purposes. It is expected that the works will take four weeks to complete and drivers are advised to expect delays and allow more time for travel.

“If anyone requires further information and details about this and other road improvement schemes can be found at www.trafficwatchni.com.”

Transport Minister Danny Kennedy commented: “This scheme will deliver long term improvements for everyone in Lisburn with road users in particular being among the first to directly benefit from the investment.”
