Councillor John Finlay warns of bogus callers
Councillor John Finlay released a statement about bogus callers saying: “I have been made aware of a recent incident where an individual, posing as an official from a utility company gained access to the home of local couple and stole money.
“I want to issue a timely reminder to everyone that it is always wise to be on your guard when you answer your door. If you are concerned you can contact myself and I will be more than happy to contact the relevant organisation and make the check for you. I feel that it is important to raise this issue in the hope of preventing a similar incident happening.”
