Councillor pays tribute
Councillor Olive Mercer has paid tribute to Councillor Sheila McQuaid who passed away suddenly in Craigavon Hospital last week.
Speaking on behalf of the Ulster Unionist group Mrs Mercer said: “On behalf of the Ulster Unionist Group and myself I wish to express heartfelt sympathy and regret to her husband Frank and all the family on the sudden passing of Sheila.
“She was a dedicated Councillor carrying out her duties with enthusiasm and with an innate sense of fairness. Sheila’s bright smile and infectious sense of humour will be greatly missed by her colleagues in Council. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family as they come to terms with the sad and unexpected loss of a loving wife and mother and grandmother.”
