Councillor takes on new role with UUP

Glengormley Councillor Mark Cosgrove has been appointed the Ulster Unionist Party’s business spokesperson.

Making the appointment, party leader Mike Nesbitt said: “I look forward to working with Mark closely in the coming years as we look to ensure that we continue to do what’s right for the citizens and businesses of Northern Ireland. As a local businessman with vast experience I am sure Mark can play an important role in our economic team.”

Cllr Cosgrove, director of a Mallusk-based logistics firm, added: “I was delighted to accept this important position within the UUP economic team. I hope to provide a fresh political voice on business related issues and to work with my colleagues to drive forward fresh and innovative ideas.

“Engaging with companies every day gives me a different perspective, and I hope that I will be able to address key concerns of the business community in my new role.”
