Councillors heard that the application of Robert Mark to erect a Vestas V27 225KW, 30m high turbine hub north west of 80 Tullykittagh Road, Clough, was to be refused due to a lack of sufficient information on potential noise impact.

They also heard that a proposal by Mrs K Millar was to be turned down for a 225kw wind turbine with 31m high mast and 27m rotar diameter, on land some 65m north of 109 Crankill Road, to generate electricity for export to the grid.

Mrs Millar’s application, which attracted one letter of objection, was to be refused on grounds that it could impact on the visual amenity within the landscape of Cullybackey and Cloughmills and also because of insufficient information to determine the potential for noise disturbance, shadow flicker impact and impact on bats.
