Countdown is on for annual show

The Birches Vintage Club would like to thank everyone who has purchased tickets for their annual supper dance which will take place on Saturday March 4 at 8pm, in the Seagoe Hotel, Portadown.

With only a small number of tickets remaining, the club have once again been overwhelmed by the support they have received for their upcoming fundraising event for NI Children’s Hospice.

Starting at 8pm Country Features Big Band will provide the backing music for artists Kevin Kearney, Angela Reid, Murial Day, Box Car Brian, Adrian Ryan Mathew Sloane and his Jiving Team.

Tickets are priced at just £10 each and can be purchased in advance by contacting Jenay Doyle on 079 676 953 42 or John Wilson on 077 3341 7540.

Club Chairman, John Wilson, said; “We would like to thank everyone who has already purchased their tickets for our Supper Dancefor the Children’s Hospice and would encourage anyone who has yet to buy tickets to get in touch before its too late”.

“All proceeds from this special event will be donated to NI Children’s Hospice who will use the funds raised to provide respite and end of life care for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

“Practical, emotional and bereavement support is also provided for the whole family. Care is provided at the Children’s Hospice buildings in Newtownabbey and Killadeas and also in local communities across Northern Ireland.”

Speaking on behalf of NI Children’s Hospice, Jenay Doyle thanked the Birches Vintage Club and community for their support; “We are delighted to hear that this event is once again being so well supported by the local community. We would like to thank the Birches Vintage Club for their continued support and everyone who has purchased a ticket or contributed to this fantastic event. Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice is the only service of its type in Northern Ireland caring for babies, children and young people with life limiting or life threatening conditions.

There are two Children’s Hospices in Northern Ireland, Horizon House in Belfast and Horizon West in Enniskillen. In addition to the clinical support they also offer various activity options, multi-sensory equipment and short breaks.
