The full Olympic Torch cavalcade will then make its way from the Hillsborough Road to Bow Street, Market Square, Castle Street, Seymour Street, Queen’s Road and then to Lagan Valley Island. The convoy is expected to arrive there at around 3.00pm when local school children will be present to see the Torch.

There will be a limited public viewing area at Lagan Valley Island, however access may have to be restricted as space is very limited. The site will be closed to vehicles from 1pm.

The Torch cavalcade will stop briefly at Lagan Valley Island for a break and during this time it will not be possible to see the torch from within the grounds of the complex until it departs again via Gregg Street at approximately 4pm.

The route will then take it along Gregg Street, Mercer Street, Sloan Street, Young Street, Hillsborough Old Road and the Ravernet Road as it makes its way to Belfast.
