It will be the largest Next store in Northern Ireland with a 20,000 sq footage area offering clothing for men, women and children with some homeware.

The store spans two floors and will have a café situated inside.

The Chairman of Lisburn City Council’s Planning Committee, Councillor Uel Mackin and Vice Chairman, Alderman James Tinsley, paid a site visit to the new store, which is currently undergoing fit-out.

Mr Robin Crane, Project Manager with Next, who is responsible for the final stages of its internal build was also on site and is looking forward to the store opening later in the month.

Mr Mackin said: “It’s a vote of confidence in the City of Lisburn and we are delighted to see Next locate its largest store in Northern Ireland at this very popular site.

“We hope to see more shoppers come into Lisburn and to see spin-offs for other retail outlets and local businesses. The Council was fully supportive of this retail venture.

“With plenty of parking available at Sprucefield and a retail offer including the biggest Marks and Spencer store in Northern Ireland; a mega-sized Boots store and Pets at Home; we see Next’s location as of strategic importance and we hope to see visitors come from outside of the area as well as the choice this store brings to local Lisburn residents.”

This is the third Next store in Lisburn; with a homeware store at neighbouring Sprucefield Park and Next in Lisburn Square.
