A team of over 40 volunteers will be delivering an action-packed line-up, under the leadership of Mrs Susan Boyd.

The theme for the week is ‘Showstoppers’ a Bible based programme designed by Scripture Union, an organisation with a strong track record in the delivery of summer activities for children and young people.

Activities will include singing, games, crafts, Bible stories, drama and puppets. Admission is free but for registration purposes children must be left off by a parent/guardian on the first night of attendance.

Rev Niall Lockhart is minister of Ballyhenry Presbyterian Church.

Commenting on this year’s Holiday Club he said: “Government cutbacks are putting pressure on the provision of children’s summer schemes across the province.

“As a church, the delivery of good quality children’s activities, free at the point of access, is something we are deeply committed to providing for the benefit of our entire community. Children growing up today face many pressures. In this context we believe we have a part to play in helping children to understand the Bible for themselves, so laying good foundations in early years.”
