Keith Baker (58), whose address was given as HMP Maghaberry, and Caroline Bernadette Baker (51), formerly of Drumellan Mews, Craigavon, appeared on Friday at a preliminary enquiry at the local courthouse.

Both sat in the dock as a series of charges were read to them.

Mr Baker faces charges including alleged indecent assault on a female, rape, false imprisonment and inciting a person with a mental disorder to commit a sexual act.

Mrs Baker faces alleged charges which include aiding and abetting rape, false imprisonment and other sexual offences.

The preliminary enquiry heard that because of attacks on her home Mrs Baker had sold the house and moved to a new address.

District Judge, Mr Mervyn Bates, imposed reporting restrictions banning the publication of her new address and also banning the use of any picture of her in the media.

Both were remanded to appear for arraignment at Craigavon Crown Court on August 7 with Mr Baker in custody and Mrs Baker on continuing bail.
