District Judge issues arrest warrant for young South Derry man who failed to appear for breaching court order

An arrest warrant was issued at Magherafelt Magistrates Court on Wednesday for a young South Derry man who failed to appear on a charge of breaching a probation order.

District Judge Conor Heaney issued the warrant after being told by the court usher that the defendant had not responsed when his name was called within the court precincts.

Callum Hughes, aged 20, of Sunnyside Drive, Maghera, is accused of failing to comply with a Probation Order imposed by a previous court for possessing drugs.
