Cow dip in Faughan ends well
It was almost a case of '˜How Now Drowned Cow' in Drumahoe on Tuesday morning when this fine animal took an impromptu dip in the Faughan. Thankfully the cow managed to clamber back up the bank to safety.
The cow fell in immediately opposite the Riverside stadium but was soon back on the ‘Green, Green Grass of Home.’
’Stute groundsman Arthur Hiscox, who witnessed the incident and took the picture, said: “All I heard was this big splash and there was a cow in the river. It somehow got itself up the bank again.”
