Craig on fuel club
Councillor Yvonne Craig has welcomed the progress to date on Fuel Club for Lisburn and Castlereagh
Mrs Craig has been working on this project for a year and says although even though progress has been slow and the organisers are finally in a position to ask local community groups get involved and run a fuel club in the area.
Mrs Craig said: “It is my hope that community groups will take up the challenge and I have secured funding to help them get started. The choice between eating and heating is a reality for many people and if I can do something to ease that choice and improve those people’s lives then I will know I will have made a positive change.”
