Craigavon man accused of possessing pornographic image of child

Oisin Dorton, 20, from the Pinebank area appeared in Craigavon Magistrates Court yesterday (August 3) for the second time in relation to the four charges.

The charges include the allegation that on April 28 this year he had in his possession an indecent photograph or pseudo photograph of a child.

He is also accused that he made an indecent photograph or pseudo photograph of a child.

Dorton is further charged with having an extreme pornographic image in his possession and possession of an image of a child which was of such a nature as is prohibited by a section of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009.

No plea was entered and the defendant was remanded on continuing bail, to return before Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on September 14.

The court heard that the case has been sent to a senior prosecutor for a decision to be taken.

Legal aid was also granted.
