The court heard that on July 18 last year a one vehicle road traffic collision happened on the Ardmore Road, Lurgan. A car had crashed into the wall of a bridge and ended up on the other side of the road.

They found a small quantity of cannabis and three tablets in his trouser pocket.

A sample of the defendant’s blood was taken and a forensic report showed there were drugs in his system.

District Judge, Mr Mervyn Bates, pointed out that there were drugs in the defendant’s system and an accident happened which were aggravating features.

The judge adjourned the case until May 4 so that a pre-sentence report could be obtained.
