Crashed car into a field

A motorist who lost control of his car crashed through a hedge and ended up in the middle of a field, Craigavon Magistrates Court heard last Wednesday.

John Gerard Hendron (44), Ballymoney Heights, Lurgan, was fined £250, with six penalty points, for driving without due care and attention on April 8 this year.

The court heard that around 3.10pm a one vehicle accident happened on the Tandragee Road, Portadown. A car ended up in the middle of a field after it had crashed through a hedge.

The defendant said a dog had run out in front of him. Ad efence barrister said his version may be viewed sceptically but there was no suggestion of alcohol being a factor.
