Police established who owned the vehicle and went to a house a short distance away.

They spoke to Hunt and noticed he had dried blood on his nostril which was matched to blood in the car.

The defendant denied being the driver but after failing a preliminary breath test he took an evidential test which gave a reading of 97 – 62 over the limit.

A solicitor for Hunt said this an was incredibly stupid thing to do and Hunt was lucky that he only hit a wall.
