Crave Youth Fellowship relaunch

Holy Trinity Church of Ireland’s youth fellowship kicked off again with an interview with Coleraine’s Olympic rowing silver medallist, Richard Chambers whilst the fantastic Ryan Griffiths Band led worship.

There was also a show of unity between the village’s two churches as Waringstown Presbyterian youth minister Neil Harrison spoke about gaining real fulfilment in God over what the world has to offer.

The relaunch came after a great summer for the youth of both churches as they served their village through the glo outreach week.

Richard Chambers gave an interesting insight into his Olympic adventure and his training habits and he also spoke intimately about his faith in Jesus and the great impact it has on his daily life and rowing.

Following the event, Craigavon Mayor, Cllr Carla Lockhart said: “What a fantastic event for the young people of Waringstown.

“I attended the entire event and it was a blessing from start to finish. To hear first hand from an Olympian silver medallist about his faith in Christ was very uplifting and really did have an impact on the young people gathered.

“There was approximately 200 young people there to see and hear from Richard and he did not disappoint. Not only did he tell us about his faith, he told us all about his training regime, his eating habits and about where he keeps his medal when it is not on him; his pants drawer!

“Well done to the organisers and to Gareth Hanna for doing a fantastic job interviewing the celeb.”

Crave YF takes place in the Waringstown Church of Ireland halls every Sunday night from 7.30pm until 9.15pm and all youth from year eight upwards are very welcome.

Fusion and 20:20, Waringstown Presbyterian’s youth events are on on Friday evenings beginning at 7.30pm for years eight to 10 and at 9pm for year 11+ with, again, all youth welcome.
