Local community groups and organisations have received some vital support from Lurgan Credit Union.

Last month the Credit Union presented a number of sponsorship cheques to local sporting clubs and charities.

On Saturday, April 23, they held a presentation for Clan na Gael.

The Credit Union also made a presentation for the Marie Curie Fundraising Group.

This donation will help provide care for terminally ill patients in our community, who are given free care by the Marie Curie Group, and have been operating for the past 10 years.

Finally Sarsfields Gaelic Football Club received sponsorship for their 90th Anniversary celebration “The Jail Break”, held on Saturday, May 28 in the Crumlin Road Jail, The funds raised will be used to develop the club’s current facilities and help provide a lasting legacy for the people of the Derrytrasna community.
