Creeper burglaries in Crumlin

POLICE are investigating three creeper burglaries in the Crumlin and Dunadry areas overnight between August 22 and 23.

A silver Nissan Almera was stolen when thieves gained entry into a house at Lyngrove Hill in Crumlin through an unlocked door and found burnt out on the Shaneoguestown Road, Antrim.

A silver Ford Fiesta was also stolen with the keys from outside another house at Lyngrove Hill. Entry was gained via an open window.

The car was later located at Silverstream Terrace in North Belfast.

A white Renault Megane and a silver Peugeot 207 were also stolen with keys from outside a house in the Courtyard in Dunadry.

Again entry to the property is believed to have been gained via an unlocked front door.

The Megane was located on fire at Carn Road, Nutts Corner.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about these crimes to contact them on 0845 600 8000.

Officers would also like to urge residents to help protect themselves against this kind of crime by ensuring doors and windows are kept closed and locked at night or when the home is unoccupied.
