The police have launched an appeal for information about a potential witness after a man was assaulted in the early hours of Monday last.
A PSNI spokeswoman said: “Police in Foyle are appealing for information about a male who was sitting on a barrier on the Springtown Road at the junction of Ringfort Road during the early hours of July 8.
“This person may be able to assist police with an investigation into an assault on a man in the Marianus Park area at around 3.30am,” she said.

Hide AdAccording to police, the man was wearing a white Adidas top with a blue collar and blue stripes down the sleeves. The number to ring with information is 0845 600 8000.
