Alyson Nelson: man charged with murder

A 66-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Alyson Nelson in Whitehead at the weekend.

Police confirmed that the man is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Wednesday).

A PSNI spokesperson said: “As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.”

Ms Nelson, who was 64, was found dead in the Victoria Avenue area of the seaside town on Saturday (April 16).
