Appeal for witnesses after town centre stabbing

A 27-year-old man has been arrested following a stabbing in Dungannon.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident in the Market Square area of the town on Saturday evening.

It was reported to police that at around 8.40pm that a man had been stabbed. He was later treated for his injuries which are not life threatening.

A man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed anything in the Market Square area at around 8:30 pm on Saturday or who has information that could assist police to call on 101, quoting reference number 1920 of 26/09/20.
