Officers took to social media this morning (Tuesday) to highlight the issue to parents and guardians.

Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson for the Antrim and Newtownabbey district said: “There are potentially unreported incidents in other areas, therefore we are working with our partners in Public Health to alert parents, guardians and young people.

“We would urge anyone using vape devices to only use liquids obtained from reputable sources.

“People under 18 years of age should not be using these devices as their sale is prohibited to anyone under 18.”
