Armed robbery appeal

DETECTIVES in Coleraine are appealing for information following an armed robbery at commercial premises on the Somerset Road area during the early hours of Monday.

Shortly after 4am, a man carrying a knife entered the premises and threatened a member of staff. The man attempted to lift cash from the till before making off in the direction of Strand Road roundabout.

It is not known if anything was taken. No-one was injured in the incident.

The man is described as being approximately 5’6” tall, wearing a black hooded jacket, black track bottoms, grey trainers and a black scarf covering his face.
