Detailing the incident, a PSNI spokesperson said: “Our Neighbourhood Teams attended the area behind St Gerard’s church and found a large number of young people present - many of whom were underage drinking, smashing glass, shouting abuse and playing excessively loud music.

“This behaviour was disturbing local residents and other people who were trying to enjoy Cave Hill Country Park.

“Alcohol was seized, names were taken and one individual was arrested for disorderly behaviour.

Police were tasked to the area last night.

“Don’t forget - the choices you make now could stay with you for a long time. A criminal record can effect your chances of certain jobs and even your travel opportunities in the future.”

Last night’s incidents follow similar anti-social behaviour at the site last month.
