Arrests after gates stolen at Solitude

Three men have been arrested by police in Craigavon following the theft of gates at Solitude Meadow in Lurgan.

Police said they received reports of three men removing gates from the derelict property at 6.33pm on Wednesday, 4 December.

Officers went to the scene however the three men had made off in a silver van which was later recovered a short time later Main Street.

Three men, aged 29, 36 and 50 years old, were arrested around 9pm in the Loughbrickland area and a sum of cash seized. The men were later released on bail pending further enquiries.

The silver van was later reported to police as stolen from the hard shoulder of Dublin Road, Cloughogue.
