Arson attack in Cityside

Police in Foyle have made an appeal for information following a report of arson in the Sandale Park area of the Cityside this morning, Sunday, August 3.

It was reported to police at around 7.30am, that a red BMW Coupe car was on fire.

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and the fire was extinguished.

A PSNI spokesman said: “Police are investigating the cause of the fire, but at this stage believe it was started deliberately. Enquiries are continuing.”
