Ballyclare ‘R’ driver was doing 95mph on the M2 motorway

An ‘R’ driver from Ballyclare caught driving at 95mph in a Ford Focus on the M2 motorway near Antrim town on February 3 this year has been banned from the roads for two weeks and fined £150.

Owen O’Melvena (19), an apprentice butcher, of Henryville Manor, had the case mentioned at Antrim Magistrates’ Court, sitting in Ballymena, on a charge of being an ‘R’ driver exceeding 45mph.
