Ballymaguigan woman handed three month driving ban in her absence

A motorist was banned from driving for three months at Magherafelt Magistrates Court for having no insurance.

Claire Shivers (28), of Lough Road, Ballymaguigan, was also fined a total of £265.

The court heard the offence came to light at Moyola Road, Castledawson, on July 30 last year.

A PPS lawyer said police carried out a check and found the car was not insured and the defendant was unable to produce a certificate of insurance. Shivers did not appear and was not professionally represented.
