Behaviour leads to court date

A LURGAN man was fined £250 last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for a disorderly behaviour offence on June 4.

He was 27 year old Mark Owen McAleese, of Hawthorne Avenue, Lurgan.

The court heard that at 1.10am police received a report of a disturbance outside the Courthouse bar.

The defendant was shouting and swearing at members of the public. He was warned about his behaviour but continued to shout and swear and was arrested.

A barrister for McAleese said he had taken a lot to drink. His last offence was four years ago.

District Judge, Mr Alan White, hoped this was a one-off incident caused by too much drink.
