Bin fire treated as ‘hate crime’

Detectives are appealing for information following an arson attack on a house in the Pottinger Street area of Cullybackey at approximately 4:00am on Sunday 21 July.

A wheelie bin was set on fire and placed against the rear door of the property. The fire was quickly distinguished by one of the occupants. There were three persons present in the house at the time, none of which were injured as a result of this incident.

Police are treating the attack as a hate crime.
