Bomb: Appeal for information

Detectives investigating an explosion at the Probation Service’s offices at Crawford Square in Londonderry on Monday, April 27, have released CCTV footage.

It shows the moment the device exploded shortly before 11pm.

Detective Chief Inspector James Mullen, who is leading the enquiry, said the footage was being released as part of a renewed appeal for information.

“We remain keen to hear from anyone who was in the Crawford Square area from 10pm onwards on Monday and who saw the device being left, or saw suspicious individuals or activity in the area” he said.

Information can be given on the police non-emergency number, 101, or by calling the Crimestoppers Charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
