‘Brutal assault’ on man in Glynn village

Detectives are investigating an aggravated burglary in Glynn, outside Larne, last night (Wednesday).

A report was made to police at around 11.30pm that approximately 10 minutes earlier two masked males had forced their way into a property at Glenvale Park in the Co Antrim village and assaulted a man, aged in his sixties, with a baseball bat.

The victim, who sustained injuries to his head, was able to get the men out of the property. However, once outside it was reported they attacked his vehicle, using the bat, before fleeing.
