Cannabis seized in Connor

Police arrested two men and recovered a quantity of herbal cannabis and two cannabis plants following the search of a house in the Rockfield Heights area of Connor on Tuesday evening.

The men, aged 22 and 23, were arrested on suspicion of possession of class B drugs, possession of class B drugs with intent to supply and cultivation of cannabis. Both were released on police bail until the end of the week.

Chief Inspector Stephen McCauley commented: “Police are working hard to increase awareness of cannabis cultivation in communities. We hope that people will report any suspicions to us so that we can curb the harm caused by drug misuse.
