Car theft: Two arrested
Police at Strand Road have arrested two males in connection with the theft of a vehicle and also a burglary in the area of Ivy Mead, Waterside, Londonderry in the early hours of Thursday, October 9.
Detective Inspector David McQuade said the men, aged 20 and 21, were arrested after a stolen car rammed a police vehicle on the Benview Road, Londonderry.
Three police officers received minor injuries following the collision and damage was also caused to a stationary vehicle and a garden wall of a nearby property.
The men are currently assisting police with their enquiries at Strand Road police station.
