Carrickfergus man arrested for ‘purposefully’ coughing on PSNI officer

Officers were called to an alleged domestic incident at an address in Rosebrook Grove at around 12:35am where they arrested a man who, when spoken to by an officer, purposefully coughed over him and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of attempting to commit grievous bodily harm.

The 31-year-old male was also arrested on suspicion of resisting police, common assault and disorderly behaviour, and he remained in custody this morning.
