Cars stolen during spate of burglaries in Newtownabbey

Detectives are appealing for information following a number of incidents which occurred in the Glenview area of Newtownabbey.

Detailing the incidents, Detective Sergeant Lorimer said: “Sometime between 11pm on Monday, September 7 and 8.45am on Tuesday, September 8, it was reported that entry was gained to a house in the Glenview Park area.

“A Dell laptop, a wallet and a grey Honda Jazz were stolen during the incident. At this time the vehicle and the items taken remain outstanding.

“Entry was gained to another property in the Glenview Park area, with a Canon 6D camera and equipment stolen during the incident. It was reported that two unknown males attempted to gain access to another house in the area, but were unsuccessful.

“Sometime between 10pm on Monday, September 7 and 8.10am on Tuesday, September 8, it was reported that entry was gained to a house in the Glenview Close area.”

Detective Sergeant Lorimer added: “It was reported that a white Ford Grand C Max was stolen from the property and remains outstanding at this time. At around 4.30am on Tuesday, September 8, it was reported that a vehicle parked in the Glenview Gardens area was entered and a number of items were taken from inside the vehicle.

“Enquiries are continuing and detectives would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the Glenview area between 10pm on Monday and 8.45am on Tuesday, to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 312 08/09/20.

“A report can be made using the online reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport. Information can also be provided to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
