Caused oncoming traffic to swerve
A motorist who went across the carriageway causing oncoming traffic to swerve was banned from driving for 14 months last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.
Thirty five year old Roma Mauragaite, of Drumellan Gardens, Craigavon, was also fined £300 for driving while unfit on June 23.
As well she was ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.
The court heard that at 11.20pm police saw a car in front of them on the Northway, Portadown, swerving across the carriageway.
Oncoming traffic had to swerve to avoid her car. There was a smell of alcohol on her breath and she said she had taken a couple of beers.
A breath test gave a reading of 88.
