Child petrol bomb accused charged over ‘Derry Day’ riots

A CHILD has been charged with rioting and throwing petrol bombs over the ‘Derry Day’ weekend.

The juvenile has been charged with possession of petrol bombs, throwing petrol bombs, criminal damage and riotous assembly.

The charges relate to alleged offences in the Bogside area in the run up to the Apprentice Boys Relief of Derry demonstration on August 11.

He is due to appear at Londonderry Magistrates Court on September 18.
