Council staff clear dumped PPE in Newtownabbey

Staff from Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council cleared a number of bags containing PPE from the Knockagh Road area of Newtownabbey today.

Commenting on the incident, a spokesperson for the local authority said: “This incident was reported to the council yesterday (Wednesday, August 5) and a clean-up crew removed the material early this morning.

“The volume of waste was quite small, and the crew noticed there were elements of PPE equipment contained within it.”
