Council staff remove illegally dumped waste in Greenisland

Staff from Mid and East Antrim Borough Council were tasked to remove fly-tipped rubbish from Greenisland this week.

The discarded items in the Rossmore Green area were reported to the local authority earlier this week.

Commenting on the issue, a council spokesperson said: “The area has now been cleared. The vast majority of our citizens take a responsible attitude to disposal of waste.

“We encourage anybody with information on incidents of fly-tipping and other illegal dumping to contact us on 028 25 633 394 or report the matter at www.midandeastantrim.gov.uk/report
