They say in a Facebook today post that they arrested two people following a chase last Friday evening.

The post reads: "This black BMW has been giving us the round around for weeks but last Friday evening it's luck ran out. Thanks to your assistance we eventually caught up with this one.

"On Friday evening, once again we found ourselves in pursuit of this vehicle but this time we were ready. Along with assistance from colleagues in Air Support and Armed Support Unit, we turned our plan into a successful operation resulting in two arrests.

"Having said that it wasn't an easy stop- this driver forced a pursuit, taking in the sights of Ballyronan, Coagh, Moneymore and Desertmartin, before coming to a stop outside Tobermore. Thankfully no-one was injured.

"The driver was arrested for a number of offences, charged to court and has been remanded in custody. This BMW will not be giving us the run around anytime soon."
