Drink drivers arrested

Police made three arrests for drink-driving offences in Londonderry over the Easter weekend.

A 26-year-old woman was charged with excess alcohol after a detection at Strand Road shortly after midnight on Friday. Officers found the woman had a four-year-old child in the rear of the car.

And an 18-year-old man was charged with excess alcohol and several other motoring offences following a detection at Strand Road later on Saturday morning.

Meanwhile, a 61-year-old woman was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol following an incident at Hollyhall Road shortly after midnight on Sunday.

All three will appear in court next month.
