Drug offenders arrested

Police have arrested drugs offenders over the Easter weekend.

A man (23) is charged with possessing a Class B drug and assaulting police after a house search in Shantallow on Saturday.

And a 39-year-old woman and a 23 year-old woman were arrested for possessing drugs in incidents in the Edenballymore area on Saturday and Sunday. One is also charged with possessing an offensive weapon. Both were bailed pending further enquiries.

Meanwhile, an 18-year-old man is to be reported to the PPS for alleged possession of a Class B drugs at Lone Moore Road on Sunday and cash and a mobile phone were seized when police stopped a car at William Street on Friday.
