Nicholas Owen Mulholland, whose address was given as Aldervale, Craigavon, pleaded guilty to having Diazepam and cannabis resin on July 14, 2018.

The court heard that police received a report from nursing staff at Craigavon Area Hospital of drugs having to be taken from the defendant’s possession.

There was a small block of cannabis and 149 Diazepam tablets.

Mulholland said he had bought the substances for his own use.

District Judge Amanda Brady said that looking at his record it was a matter of just ‘drugs, drugs and more drugs.’

She said she would need a report on the matter and adjourned the case until April 1 in order to obtain a report from the probation service.
